THE BEST DAY OF THE WEEK

Sundays are a gift. By far my favorite day. I think I am such a stickler about all the Sabbath "dont's" because I really enjoy all the Sabbath "do's". I want to be a better Sabbath doer. Today in our Sunday School class ( I teach the 16 and 17 yr. olds) I felt like we were sharing in the spirit so sincerely that we were both edified and rejoiced together. They are so full of troubles and temptations all around them and yet a willingness to share and help one another. I want to remember that experience today and as Elder Scott said "show the Lord how I value it" by writing it down.

Although I am no professional, I love doing crafty things. I get excited by projects to decorate or create. Recently I tried to paint Adelaides name to match the new bed set she got. Not anything to brag about, it was just a fun little project that made me feel accomplished.

PS- I finished it off with the dark brown color on all the edges (took only 4 coats) :) Now she can look to her wall to learn how to spell her name. So Exciting!

Those letters turned out way cute! Good job!

I made some for Kallie a while back and some nights during her prayers, she will look up and start telling Heavenly Father the letters in her name. It cracks me up!

Do you hate me because we watched Amazing Race on your TV this last Sunday?! You know you loved it! No, hopefully it will go to another night. But now that we have DVR it doesn't matter!

Thanks for coming over last night and complimenting all the little things about our new house. You're the best!

Sara and Spencer,

The blog is quite informative. What a great idea it would be to print this record in the same format as the blog and make it available as a journal/picture book. I think your kids would really enjoy it later in life. I know how important it is for you to experience the growth as an individual family, that being on your own can create. Thanks for being sweet to me and your mother Sara. Spencer, enjoy the growth this brings. I look back on our move, I find mixed feelings at times but, I have found growth opportunities almost boundless. I am thrilled with the grand ones you have, they are perhaps better than we. Always be good. Kindness has a most powerful affect and can be shown in so many ways.
Love, Dad.

Sara, this is how Brooklyn learned how to spell her name...only I bought my letters at a store! They aren't as cute as yours. We sang the spelling of her name to the tune of doe a dear from Sound of Music and she learned to spell it so quickly. It was always so cute to see her point to her letters on the wall and start singing the spelling of her name!
Hope your having a great visit with Mom and Dad Lake!
Love you!

I love those letters! I am so excited to do Weston's big boy room! I'm already getting really antsy to start painting walls, but I need to pick bedding and stuff first. :) PS- your girls are so beautiful. I'm workin on the boy segment of the population.
