Floss

So there was a time in my life that I didn't know the benefits of flossing, so I didn't do it the recommended (at least) once a day. I am proud to admit that now (and for a few years now) I do (most days). I was just laughing while flossing today. The whole ordeal was funny to me...mouth opened wide, wrapping it around the fingers for a good grip, the stretch for the back teeth, looking at myself in the mirror, the glancing if anything had been caught by it. Life really can just be funny, can't it? Like those nights you realize how silly an every day word is, or say your name repeatedly in your head because it sounds so weird. I have those kind of moments regularly, and I love 'em. Floss laughing moments we'll call them. We need a few now and again to keep us simple and alleviate stress.

This event was even funnier because I recently helped a friend try and remove one of those unwanted skin tag/moles by tying floss around it. I think everyone would've laughed at that site. They asked me after several minutes trying to get the perfect squeeze if I thought it would really work. I replied "it would take a miracle, good luck stormin the castle!"

I'm interested to hear the outcome.

See, it' kind of a miracle, floss. Multipurpose-ful! Something to be grateful for!

I hope that you not only flossed tonight, but that you enjoyed it.

I'm off to an early bed time. Gotta get good rest for the Young Women's B-ball game in the morning (which I co- coach) but that's a whole different post topic.

I actually have recently become a flossing addict. I used to NEVER floss thinking it a waste of time. But then I happily discovered the floss picks thingies and LOVE them. My friend says she keeps them in her car and flosses while she drives! (i'm not THAT bad.)
Happy flossing to you!

I've been an avid flosser for most of my adult life now. I can't stand to go to bed now without a good floss session; the things you never knew could stay in the crevasses of your teeth! I'll give credit where credit is due-to my oldest sister who would never hesitate to whip out her floss even in public. What an example she was to me-in so many ways.

PS: I posted this originally as "H-less, E-less", and that's why there is a "comment deleted". I suppose it's bound happen when we share a computer. Too easy to forget to sign out...

Another trick that Lauri taught me about flossing was that the earlier in the evening that you floss, the more motivated you are to not eat: "Oh...can't have that ice cream--I just flossed!"

OK OK so I will get better at flossing...that is true about flossing/brushing your teeth. You are WAY less likely to eat once you have cleaned your teeth. Your metabolism goes down at night. So maybe we should all brush and floss our teeth at7 pm..does ythat work?

Ha ha ha..that blog makes me laugh!! You know what else floss is good for??? Cutting the dough for homemade cinnamon rolls! Works like a charm!

At least you were coaching the YW and not playing. I played church basketball this morning, and boy was it a DOOZIE!! I hadn't touched a basketball for a year, and today was the first time that I have run since I had Isaac! (I played last season pregnant..) The best part of the game was when I had to breastfeed Isaac, and then check back in. The girl guarding me said, "you were just breastfeeding your baby....you are AMAZING!" Ha ha ha ha!!

Bri-I highly doubt it was as doozie as you say, you are probably a secret weapon for your team. And that really is amazing to be able to feed your baby in between. Wow. You go girl!

I wish flossing would keep me from eating. I would floss all day long.
