Allergic to Texas

OK... so not Texas, but the Texas Cedar that has come out in full bloom the last few weeks. I used to think those people who sneezed all the time, with itchy eyes, nasaly sounding voice- with "allergies" were just weirdos. Well 3 weeks ago I earned the title. It always takes getting sick to realize how lucky you are when you are healthy. I have never really been grateful that I didn't have allergies. Now I look back on those over 9,500 days of my allergy free life as a little miracle.

So today I am grateful that I don't have any other of the millions of illnesses that could so easily be life altering for me and my family...but that I am in great health with a simple seasonal irritant. So, Here's to you Cedar. I'll take you anyday.

YIKES! I'm sorry, that is SOOOO miserable! You are so right though, the natural man truly does not realize how fortunate they are to be healthy until they lose part that health and their comfort level goes down.
I love your daily miracles! I absolutely loved Elder Eyring's talk about journaling and you both have inspired me to be more mindful of the daily miracles in my life! Thank you!

Jamie is cracking me up! She's been grossed out by your last two miracles. What other miracles can gross out your sister? I can't wait to find out!

P.S. Your snively voicemail messages are kindof endearing. :)

I didn't say they weren't miracles...come one...don't tell me her eye doesn't look a little sick to you. Count on her sister to be the one to tell her how gross she really is. ok, maybe i shouldn't be such a synic

Yah, I guess it does look a little freaky...you're right--if a sister can't say you're gross, who can?! :)

Hey, I'm allergic to Bend. Same thing happened to me shortly after I moved here, so I went to the allergist and the tests showed me being allergic to juniper, sagebrush, pollen, and dust! Thank goodness it's seasonal, but still very annoying! Hope you find some relief. And I love the banter between Sally and Jamie, and how Sally took you from gross to freaky! LOL!!! Love to all of you!
